MIZIZI INTRODUCTION
AIM
We want to grow deep in faith and start a firm foundation that cannot be shaken in Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11
We are laying our foundation in Christ who is our founder (BSF).
Grow in our spiritual matters.
BY THE END OF THE STUDY:
Ø We should bring transformation in our lives, in our church by being practical.
Ø Bring others who are not believers in the church and doing discipleship to them.
Ø We be impactful to the society, (ie) the society should feel your presence as a born again Christian and also in the church.
INTODUCTION
DEFINATION OF THE TERM MIZIZI
Mizizi is Swahili name for roots. The taller the tree the deep the roots are in order to sustain the height and the width of the tree.
1. If we want to be Christ followers we have to become good readers of the word of God and doing what the commandment commands us to do.
2. When constructing a house or a large building what matters is the foundation of that structure, the strong and deeper the foundation is the strong the house will be.
Mode of study
Being a guidance book about discipleship there are so many Christians who have listen to sermons and even attend Sunday services but at the end of the day they are the same way before knowing Christ and even before attending the church.
(MATTHEW 28:19-20) Christ is instructing his disciples to make disciples of all nation and even baptizing them. Even us we are called to do according to Christ will bearing new fruit mentoring others to know Christ as we know Him.(JOHN15:16)
Mizizi will help us to know Christ well and our lives will change as well as we change other people lives.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE
1. We need to sacrifice ourselves that is considering time factor we need to create much time for us to go through the book and understand some important concept which might require our availability.
2. Privacy we need to make new friends more so those who are not born again Christians, share with them your life experiences before and after knowing Christ. We be open to those who need to know Christ and welcome them warmly by lowering our standards so that they may feel appreciated.
3. Counting cost (nothing good comes easily) we need books, we need to be attending retreats for easy learning BY THE END OF THE MIZIZI WE WILL GRADUATE all this things will cost us but we will benefit a lot.(Luke 14:28-30)
4. Move from your comfort zone, do great things become a connected and vibrant part of our church we make things best. (break camp and advance) from where we are now up to where we will be after finishing studying MIZIZI.
