PRAYERS FOR OUR PERSONAL NEEDS 

Why do we fast?

1. We fast so that our prayers can be strengthened Ezra 8:23. 

2. We fast to seek  God's Guidance and direction judges 20:26_28

3. We fast to humble ourselves before the Lord. Psalms 35:13. 

4. when we fast, our spiritual faculties become more attentive to the voice of God. Acts 13:1_3

5. We fast to prepare and receive strength and power for ministry  Luke 4 12-14. 

6. We fast to consecrate ourselves to the Lord.  Joshua 3:5,Exodus 19:10_11

7. We fast as an expression of repentance and return to the Lord. Joel 2:12
